Select the profile
Use theisolated-chrome profile with its selected Node runtime and browser path. The setup profile installs the server and dependencies from its retained package inputs. The browser runs headless with an isolated context.
Connect a stdio host
For direct host integration, launch the selected Node executable with:PWTEST_SOCKETS_DIR when temporary paths would exceed Unix socket limits. Retain the server and browser processes until cleanup completes.
Give the agent page structure
Navigation and interaction can return a link to a snapshot file. Read that file through the host’s permitted output path and present the snapshot to the agent. Use the current snapshot and tool schema for element references. The agent can then navigate, fill forms, click controls and inspect the resulting page. Apply operation permissions through the host’s MCP policy.Browser state
--isolated starts a separate browser context. Website sign-in and any supplied storage state are managed by the host. Keep browser output, account state and network access within the application’s selected scope.
The host owns browser process isolation and network policy. After an action timeout or cancellation, wait for the active work and process cleanup before removing its directories.
See native MCP integration and host composition.
