The Connect CLI archive includes the integration library, setup tools and required runtimes. Use that archive for terminal setup.

Choose a supported host

Use Apple Silicon macOS 13.5 or later, or Linux x86_64 with glibc 2.39. Keep the complete extracted archive together. See platforms and installation options.

Prepare the setup host with one command

Start the installed CLI and select your realm:
Describe the service and task. Connect reads the catalog, selects a profile and prepares the configuration. Review the software and access, then complete any protected credential prompts. After setup finishes, exit Connect and start an ordinary agent in the same realm:
Use the same working directory and any explicit root settings. See request an integration for model and realm selection.

Select an account through the host

For a directly embedded profile, read its config-help output before supplying credentials. It identifies configuration fields, operations and prerequisites. Store secret values with the host’s credential owner and supply named references in configuration. The Slack and Gmail guide includes a complete configuration example and the commands to validate and launch it.

Enable additional routes deliberately

Application authors can use native host composition, Python service operations or TypeScript service operations. For a selected package outside the library, see package preparation. The source distribution also includes sdk/consumer-setup for custom setup hosts. Its bootstrap_host.py prepares an offline client and host configuration; prepare_host.py uses an existing client. Follow that component’s HOST-PREPARATION.md with your selected resource bundle and explicit runtime paths.

Save and reuse setup

The CLI saves service configuration and access in the selected realm. Return to the same realm to manage credentials and agent access. Custom setup hosts can retain exact request references and local recipes. Preserve their selected artifacts and original workspace for saved-work readback.
