A usable integration combines installed software, a selected account, agent permissions and an active runtime connection. Each has its own lifecycle.

Configuration changes

Bindings identify the package, configuration, connection, grant and runtime target. When one changes, reconcile the binding against the new selection. Apply results only to the revision they describe. Live MCP additions take effect at a runtime turn boundary. The agent can then discover and load the selected operations. See native MCP integration.

Combined requests

Track service access and frontend setup separately. For example, a document connection can be ready while a Slack frontend waits for an administrator to install the app.

Stop, revoke or disconnect

  • Stop setup ends the setup request.
  • Revoke access removes an agent’s permission to use selected operations.
  • Disconnect an account changes the credential connection.
  • Pause a frontend controls new incoming interactions under the host’s policy.
  • Remove an integration retires its selected binding and handles its shared dependencies.
Let entered operations settle through their owners before replacing processes or connections. Saved configuration and external actions retain their own outcomes after a cancellation. See connection management and operations.
