Use find_and_install through an enrolled native setup owner. The owner authenticates the invocation, admits or recovers the setup operation and advances the helper. Direct FindAndInstallTool::new construction does not supply that binding.

Optional local archive inspection

The current library edition can expose setup_inspect_acquired when the host selects --enable-acquired-inspection. It reads only the primary archive of a successful Python or Node acquisition in that live setup session. Bind the exact job_id and receipt_sha256; use after: null to list members, then an exact member with offset: 0 to read text. Follow returned cursors for additional pages. Listing returns at most 64 members; text reads return at most 32 KiB from eligible UTF-8 members up to 1 MiB. Archive inspection reads the primary package from the active acquisition session. The agent uses that content to choose its entrypoint and prepare metadata. Recovery mode provides retained request readback.

Input

The source definition preserves the user’s request without asking the original agent to preselect an integration. The strict schema accepts only these content fields:
string
required
The complete nonempty original request, including constraints and ambiguity.
array
Up to 256 strings or exact context references containing owner, id, revision and content_digest.
array
Up to 256 strings containing the calling agent’s labeled observations.
Example request:
Unknown fields are rejected. Model arguments do not supply authority, target agent, account, package, backend, correlation or continuation routing. Context references are content identities; they do not grant access to their contents.

Setup observations and continuation

The enrolled path returns the operation identity, revision, acquisition phase and whether admission created it. Its typed worker observation distinguishes pending work, retry-safe work, dispatch-budget exhaustion, refused dispatch, admitted input, unresolved admission, unavailable native outcomes and a terminal acquisition. Admitted input includes its deduplication and source-settlement observations. These are setup handoff observations, not proof of installation, live service readiness or the user’s task result. Any completion text reports only that the approved follow-up instruction was admitted. The setup helper interprets the request and proposes an integration. The host binds that work to the original request, account and continuation. Service operations and frontend interactions retain separate outcomes. The package installers consume the selected IntegrationPackage and ActivationManifest. The host supplies trusted executables and approves the installation, credentials and runtime attachment. The intended setup workflow delegates interpretation to setup agents and returns separately verified role outcomes or a durable pending operation. Its owners must authenticate the real invocation, preserve request custody, commit setup work, activate at the supported runtime boundary and resume the original task. An admission acknowledgment remains distinct from worker launch, setup completion, live service readiness and business-task completion. A timeout can race a durable commit, so recovery must observe the exact existing operation through its owner. See host composition for the native application APIs.
